Terms
These are the terms this website is published under. The terms of any actual job are set out in full on your written quotation, which is the document that governs the work.
Guide prices on this site
Every figure published on this website is a guide, not an offer and not a quotation. Prices are indicative 2026 figures for Surrey and assume normal access and normal site conditions. A binding price is only ever the fixed written quotation issued after we have measured.
Quotations
Written quotations are valid for 30 days and are fixed for the specification they describe. They do not contain a contingency line. If you change what you have asked for, the change is priced and agreed in writing before any further work happens.
Your right to cancel
Where you sign at your home rather than at business premises, the agreement is an off-premises contract under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, and you have 14 days to cancel without giving a reason. This is set out in writing with every quotation together with a cancellation form.
If you ask us to begin within the 14-day period you may be required to pay for work already carried out if you then cancel. We will always tell you this before starting.
Payment
A deposit covers materials, with the balance staged against agreed points rather than demanded in advance. Exact amounts appear on your quotation. We never require payment in full before work begins.
Guarantee
Workmanship is guaranteed for 1 year from the date of handover. This is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Manufactured components such as hinges and runners carry their own manufacturer warranties.
Timber is a natural material
Solid timber moves with humidity and temperature, and colour changes with light exposure. Seasonal movement, minor shrinkage gaps and variation in grain and colour are inherent characteristics, not defects. External joinery requires periodic re-treatment, and the guarantee assumes it has been maintained.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
